I am not sure who will emerge this year. Our best player graduated, as did basically the entire state champion St. Marys team. _________________ President, WVACA |

As did the BHS team or at least 4 out of 5 of them. _________________ Barb Judy

I'm thinking this is the most wide-open season for some time. We will know more after play actually starts. _________________ President, WVACA |

| The Charleston Catholic team, which finished 3rd in the A-AA Division at 2008 States, returns all starters. |

That will automatically make them a contender for the top spot. _________________ President, WVACA |

Based on who we played today, I would rank the teams in your state as:
1. Parkersburg South
2. Parkersburg
3. Winfield
4. Bridgeport
The others that were competitive, but maybe short a player from getting into the top group, are probably GW, Charleston Catholic and John Marshall.
This does not include Parkersburg Catholic, which may be awesome depending on who they have coming back. Since they didn't play today, its hard to say. |

| Charleston Catholic beat Bridgeport, Parkersburg, and Winfield today. In fact, the only teams they lost to were Tippecanoe and Fisher Catholic. |
